Dialogue for interaction – vision of cooperation of the representatives of the ethnic communities and institutions on local level

In Continental Hotel (Crystal Hall), Skopje on June 26, 2007 at 10 hrs Common Values organizes one-day conference: Dialogue for interaction – vision of cooperation of the representatives of the ethnic communities and institutions on local level.

The Conference is part of the activates within the regional project DIANET- Capacity building project – Dialogue for interaction, advocacy and networking –  an initiative of the King Baudouin Foundation with the support of the European Commission - CARDS Regional Program Network to network.

The aim of the conference is inciting dialogue for interaction between the representatives of the ethnic communities and local institutions in the decentralization process.

The conference will be consisted of four panel discussions on the following topics:

  1. Decentralization and participation of the ethnic communities in policy creation
  2. Education and ethnic communities on local level
  3.  Role of the ombudsman in protection of the rights of the ethnic communities
  4. Role of the Commission for minority relations and rights of the ethnic communities

Local governance, international organizations, nongovernmental organizations and media will participate at the conference.
